No eyes, No arms, No ears, No legs,
… And they call me handicapped.
Through this thing they call a handicap
I have developed strength of mind,
Determination,and character.
… Yet, they call me handicapped,
All the while discounting my abilities.
Two arms, yet too lazy to reach.
Two legs, yet too lazy to walk.
Two eyes, yet too blind to see.
Two ears, yet too deaf to hear.
A mind, yet too dumb to realize.
…And they call me handicapped!
Am I any more or less handicapped
Than the person who lacks knowledge
Of their own abilities or imperfections?
…And they call me handicapped!
Who do they think they are?

QUESTIONS: What is limiting you (i.e., what is your “loser’s limp”), you excuse for not making “IT (whatever it is for you) HAPPEN?” What can you do NOW?
RECOMMENDATION: DO IT NOW! Take a minute to listen to the Inky Johnson Story (An almost NFL 1st Round Draft, with a higher calling) – This is truly an inspirational story (i.e., a Jer 29:11 says it well)! I pray they make this story into a movie (e.g., Life is greater than NFL dreams), I would definitely go see it! Who knows may oprah winfrey will make it happen?
Note: The above poem is dedicated to a man I never met and to physically challenged men and women all around the world. The man who inspired this poem had no legs, just tennis shoes near his hips, a wheel chair and an undeniable spirit to get after living. Finally, I’d like to honor Indiana University’s Dr. Jimmy Ross (RIP) & Landon Turner (Greater than IU Basketball!) and Inky Jonson (whose story will change millions of lives) – I honor your will to accept and overcome life’s hurdles, and for teaching some of us otherwise “challenged” people, like me, to “get it done, no excuses.” Thank you!
