MOUTH ALL MIGHTY

Experience has taught me:

A quick wit is not necessarily an indication of intelligence.

Like a loaded gun in the wrong hands, a tongue too swift is often a deadly sound to hear.

AND

Many fast talkers are only as good as the speed of their lip service

If you stop them from talking, they’ve done all the work they’re going to do.

AND

A mouth in motion drowns out the sound of incoming knowledge.

On a quiet day you can almost hear an echo when they speak (e.g., “Hello, hello, hello”).

NOTE TO SELF

Master the art of holding your tongue and knowledge will have a chance to reach your mind.

Otherwise, what the ears cannot hear the mind has no opportunity

To absorb as knowledge or assimilate as wisdom.
