THE ART OF COMPETITION

If you set the standard, you never have to follow the rule!

If your “competition” does not challenge you to raise the level of your service, are you even in the same game?   However, if you only set your sights on beating the competition, who is setting the standard for your personal or business success?  True competition brings out the very best in us, nothing less!  So, make sure you are striving to be the leader in your field (i.e., the imitated, not the imitator).  Otherwise, your “challengers” may only serve to lower the level of your service to match theirs.  After all, if you are not striving to play up to the level of your own potential, what kind of success do you expect?  There’s only one you and only you can be the best at being YOU, Inc. (period)!

THE ART OF COMPETITION:

  1. You can only compete to be your best YOU!
  2. Higher competition calls for mastering the best in yourself (or your team)!
  3. Being an imitator is fine, if you are willing to accept not being #1.
  4. Don’t strive to be “in the competition,” strive to set the standard for competing!
  5. If you set the standard, you never have to follow the rule!
