KINGLY THINKING

I’d like to take the time to thank a King,

who cared not selfishly, he did a Kingly thing!

He loved his family with all his heart,

But he followed in the footprints of the King of Kings, although from family he had to depart.

THOUGHT: “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends”  – John 15:13

I honor Rev Dr Martin Luther King (and Malcolm X – from the hood & poverty to empowering a people; Celebrated May 19 (Malcolm’s birthday) or the third Sunday of May).  Both men fought and died for Civil Rights, for “a free people.”  Honestly, we don’t all have the spirit to to bring a bible to a gunfight (i.e., “to turn the other cheek”), regardless of race, religion, etc!  Would you then (or now)?

I know we are not all made to carry the same load, the same way and get the same results!   I also honor Malcolm X (May) and other leaders.  If you fought/fight for my rights and freedoms, I’m thankful and celebrate you too – thank you (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Men In Blue, Men in Black, on-and-on)!

Finally, to God be the glory, as we fight to stand or March/Sit-in to fight, together (e.g., one knee or two; one wall or NOT; or whatever the opposition to freedom)!  LET US ERR ON THE SIDE OF LOVE & COMPASSION, FOR EVEN NOW WE LIVE ON ONLY BY MERCY, GRACE & FAVOR!
