MY FAVORITE SUNFLOWER

One day I saw a field of golden flowers.  It appear out of nowhere, as I had not noticed it before.   I stopped my car, grabbed my camera, jumped out, snapped a few pictures and was on my way again, rushing to get to work.  I never thought that this photo would be the last season for the field of golden smiles, turning to greet the sun each day.  Not long after this photo the field of golden smiles was gone and a new construction project was underway.

Today is not guaranteed, not even beyond this moment:  One day here, the next day gone!   But what if you could leave behind a joy in some’s heart and a smile on someone’s face.  What a beautiful legacy!  I often find myself missing the beauty of this field of smiles, even though I never really appreciated it like I should/could have.  This weekend, I miss that big smile most off all, that one that jumped to greet my spirit and make me smile.

With love, to mom, my favorite sunflower.  I miss you mom!

Today, be a sunflower, spreading joy in the moment!

p.s., MOM, KISS’EM, IF YOU’VE GOT’EM (AND KISS DAD WHILE YOU’RE AT IT)

… AND NEVER FORGET THE GIFT OF LOVE!
