“Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him?” – Job 40:1
(Note: This is only a sermon if you are looking for a preacher. Otherwise, it’s a word of FAITH to encourage your spirit!)
In times like these, when the “real” feels surreal, know that God is more than able to overcome! The book of Job tells us of a time when troubles (because they are many) befell Job on every side: in and outside his home; those he loved and things he owned; physically; spiritual warfare.
In Job, chapter 40-42, Job humbles himself in the face of God’s awesome, omnipresent and omnipotent power and God turns the tides of fortune in Job’s favor.
We can trust in governments (e.g., a false Gods) to disclose information and protect us from a virus that can (still) travel to us from unknown sources (e.g., air, surfaces or the soles of our shoes) OR we can trust in God, who can fight unseen enemies on any front (i.e., in the now, then and/or future). FAITH: We are not called to be perfect (I am not), but we are called to have faith. “IN GOD WE TRUST” still frees nations, generations and “saved a wretch like me.” Likewise, lack of faith destroyed (is destroying) nations. Believe that God can save you, he will (Roman 10: 9-10)! I pray that you keep your faith (not fear, as they will persist); that you take a moment to focus upward and inward (e.g., soul search). We are here, now, and we have talents and gifts that God is calling forth in us. My prayers to you, your family and around the globe. Amen!
IDEAS: If you don’t like to read (e.g., the bible; business books), watch/listen to your favorite interest on YouTube (new channel under construction – Amen!) or other FREE platforms. I have learned how to: listening to the bible like a “great movie,” make Corona protective masks (with wife/for community), website/WordPress design, acrylic art (impressed myself), guitar (not so well or impressive), Excel and enhanced professional skills (e.g., Entrepreneur, Project Management; Photo Shop; Marketing sessions), all FREE on YouTube!
Psst, God knows what he’s doing and what he’s called you to do. Do you trust him? Take the time to humble/harness/hone your talents (Matthew 25:14-30) and your prayer life. Be ready and willing to serve when you’re called! You know your “talents” are required, right? He did not bring us this far to leave us!
