“Where Focus Goes, Energy Flows!”
– Tony Robbins
How are you focusing your thoughts and activities? I don’t know what your challenges are during this season, but I hope this message finds you well and encourages your soul!
Perspective 1: Isolation can be tough for an active person (and a “keep moving” nation). Likewise, it is harder for some than others, as we are social creatures and virtual reality just does not cut it! It can be mentally and emotionally stressful for those who still have to go to work and risk coming home, infecting their families. Literally, we can go from debilitating fear to stare crazy, wall climbing, in no time.
Perspective 2: We can focus on what we “Get To Do,” which I encourage:
- First, God wants to be first in our lifes! Is it time to put God first, in prayer and meditation (not just on our money or when we have time or needs (note to self – OUCH). God is waiting to hear from us!
- We can focus on what we have/can do/want to do or “get to do (e.g., develop some of those hidden talents)”
- The book (Ebay Link): Man’s Search for Meaning (millions sold in 24 languages) tells the story of one man’s “isolation” and how he made it through being imprisoned. It’s a short read and beneficial (i.e., we can do this)!
- Find what works for you (Note: If you are creative/have ideas, share them. You may be the creative voice we need to hear in this self-isolation wilderness)!
Remember, “where focus goes…” (e.g., Fear kills; Faith lives – Gibbism)
