Today I drove by a church and passed a grave sight which I have driven by many times before. This time, for some reason, I actually notice one of the headstone, which had my first name and my nickname on it. Fortunately, it was not me! Once I passed the grave sight, I noticed a group text from a friend, which ended with “Time is not promised … make good use of it” and suggested calling someone for one-on-one time. The irony of the text message and the headstone did not escape me, as my brother had text me the night before, concerned that someone he loved had been in an accident; fortunately, they were not.
NOTE: Don’t wait for a text, call or headstone to remind you. Today, call someone and say those three little words: “How you doin'” (LOL) or “I love you!”
p.s., Every day “‘Tis the season” to be thankful, grateful, helpful, joyful, …ful, but not bashful (smile)! Now is the right time, tomorrow is not promised!
