THANKFUL: BLESSED BEYOND RECOGINITION

Sometimes it can be tough to “be thankful,” specially in bad times, when we feel we’ve lost so much (e.g., mother, gone; father, gone; mentors, gone; job, gone; car, gone; house, gone; death all around; family/friends, leaving too soon; close friends, not near enough; family far away or you feel all alone).  I can’t tell you you’re wrong, but I can tell you you are immeasurably blessed!  You see, there is someone who never had what you’ve lost and others who will never have what you still take for granted (e.g., walking, running, reaching, food, shelter, etc.)!  Regardless of anyone else’s situation, YOU ARE ABLE TO DO/CAPABLE OF DOING THINGS NO ONE ELSE CAN DO AND YOU ARE STILL HERE!  To say you are blessed is a Misnomer, you are blessed beyond recognition!  My mother pushed through pain for more years than I can remember, due to a work injury she incurred when someone else was just “playing,” but she never stopped praising God!  Today me dad reminded me:

In all things give thanks!”

Happy Thanksgiving,  You/We Are Blessed Beyond Recognitions

To my dad, Rev. William Gibson (and Mom, you are always in my heart), thank you for the thanksgiving reminder.  I love you!
